Online Classes

Pre-GED & GED Levels

Tri-District Adult Education is pleased to offer 8-Week Online Class Sessions for adults who do not yet have a high school diploma to build the skills needed for success on the GED Test.

What You'll Do:

  • Attend synchronous online classes from either 5:30pm - 7:30pm or 7:30pm - 9:30pm on Mondays and Thursdays. (Time of class depends on pre-test assessment level.)

  • Complete approximately one to two hours of online homework assignments between class sessions to help you master Pre-GED and GED Preparation skills.

What You'll Need to Participate:

  • Must be an adult learner without a high school diploma living in South Carolina.

  • Must have an unexpired South Carolina ID (driver’s license, state identification card, etc). 

  • Must have a computer with a webcam and reliable Internet access. 

How to Get Started:

  • Complete the online registration form. (Fall 2 Registration is Closed. Spring 1 Registration opens December 9)

  • Attend 1 night of face-to-face pre-testing the week prior to class starting.

  • Attend Virtual

    Orientation from 5:30pm - 8:30pm the Thursday before class starts.

  • You will be contacted via a telephone call once you register to schedule your orientation.

  • During these two evenings, you will:

    • Take placement tests

    • Pay the one-time non-refundable $20 registration fee (cash only)

    • Receive detailed information about online class meetings and assignments

    • Set up your technology before class begins.

Fall Session 2 (October 21 - December 19, 2024)

  • Registration Opens September 23, 2024

  • Deadline to Register: October 9, 2024

  • Mandatory In-PersonTesting (Choose 1):

    Clover Site - Monday October 14 (5:30pm - 8:30pm) or

    Fort Mill Site - Tuesday October 15 (5:30pm - 8:30pm)

  • Virtual Orientation (Mandatory): Thursday October 17 from 5:30pm - 8:30pm

Spring Session 1 (January 21 - March 14, 2025)

  • Registration Opens December 9, 2024

  • Deadline to Register: January 9, 2025

  • Testing and Orientation Week: January 13 - 16

Spring Session 2 (March 24 - May 22, 2025)

  • Registration Opens February 24, 2025

  • Deadline to Register: March 13, 2025

  • Testing and Orientation Week: March 17 - 20
